Revolution Academy helps future, international and national leisure and event professionals find their passion by offering educational, practical, and fun training programs in a progressive, professional and sustainable community

We bring the future and existing leisure and event professionals closer together, through knowledge sharing, creating opportunities and providing the possibilities to obtain practical experiences. With the ultimate goal to lead the new generation, kickstart their careers which ensures the continuity of this sector.

This is how we do it

Sustainability

Revolution Foundation has been leading the way in making events more sustainable, starting with DGTL back in 2013. Since then, it’s been helping events of all kinds bring circular projects to life. Now, with the support of Revolution Academy, these projects are growing even stronger, giving human capital and knowledge that events need to reach their circular goals.

Academy

The Revolution Academy was created to help you -the motivated young souls, to find your passion in events! Get involved and grow within the industry, together with us. See below how you can join the Academy on this wild ride.
We give academy trainings in our current areas of expertise -Volunteer, Entrance, and Sustainability management. We are also collaborating with external experts to develop even more trainings such as bar production, security, event production and artist handling.

Social Safety

The Social Safety Program at Revolution aims to create awareness and implement practices for ensuring harassment-free spaces, where everyone can feel welcome and able to express themselves. We do this by developing, training and implementing social awareness teams at events and work closely with event brands to create a tailor-made approach for their audiences. The goal of the program is to ensure safety at events, from both harassment and substance abuse standpoints.

Timon Dijkstra

General Manager

I began my journey with Revolution in 2017 as an intern when it was still the sustainability department of DGTL festival. From 2018 to 2024, I proudly developed the Academy program within the Revolution Foundation. Now, as the General Manager of the newly founded Revolution Academy, I am responsible for maintaining our brand values and further developing the strategy. I approach this with great passion, and my biggest goal is to share this vision with everyone involved, creating opportunities for like-minded young souls. Together, we can make a big, positive impact—and have a lot of fun doing so!.

Menno Noordhoek

Operations Manager

I began my journey with Revolution in 2018 as a volunteer. Over the years, I have steadily worked my way up to the position I proudly hold today.
As a Project Manager, I ensure the quality of the events we collaborate on is consistently upheld. Additionally, I provide guidance and support to managers during shows whenever needed.

Simeon Radev

Social Safety Manager

Since my first shift as a volunteer back in 2017 I have developed a keen interest in events management, especially safety and operations. As a freelancer now, I focus on developing the social safety program at Revolution where I bring event brands, passionate people and operational experience together to contribute to a greater cause.

Laura Bercher

Sustainability Manager

In 2021, I proudly joined the Revolution family as an intern, where I focused on our sustainability shifts. Today, as a member of the internal team, I manage administrative responsibilities and actively support the development of sustainability training programs, helping to drive awareness and create meaningful change.
